This loop can be travelled in both directions.

We suggest riding anticlockwise, that is heading towards Dobbiaco and attempting Passo Chimabance first. The more relaxed gradients allow you to gradually warm up.

A 15- km ride and 330 m vertical gain will take you to Passo Chimabance. From the pass, descend 3 km as far as Carbonin and turn right at the intersection.

Ride uphill along 5 demanding km to reach the spectacular Lake Misurina, nestled in Mt Sorapis stunning amphitheatre.

( From here, hardcore ones may decide to take a detour and challenge the unbelievable steepness of the 7 km climb up to Tre Cime di Lavaredo)

Descend amid the vast Misurina pasturelands and keep right once you reach an intersection.

Ride along a level section, cross the new modern bridge over the Rudavoi stream and attempt the last short stretch up to Passo Tre Croci.

An 8 km long adrenaline descent will lead you back to Cortina centre.
