The only way to reach the start of this itinerary is by taking the Tofana-Freccia nel Cielo gondola+cable car, from the car park next to the Olympic Ice Arena. Purchase the ticket or scan your pass (both local pass or Dolomiti Superski work) and take the cable car up to the 2047 m of the beautiful deck overlooking the Ampezzo valley.

Leave the cable car station following directions to the ski runs and once on snow keep right. A sign placed on the slope indicates the start of the itinerary and reports useful tips for snow-shoeing in total safety: important is to follow the trail marked by the orange poles, keeping left of them.

A very pleasant snowshoeing itinerary, especially after a snowfall when you can hike in fresh snow, challenging your abilities during the ascent and having fun on the way down.

Once you return to the starting point, you may continue snow-shoeing along the Cacciatori trail or enjoy a well deserved rest at the Capanna Ra Valles restaurant before taking the cable car back to Cortina.

Though we feel a tour guide is not necessary, hiring a mountain guide for your complete safety is always a good idea.
